I got a chance to preview Nike’s Innovation Space a few weeks ago. I run with the run clubs that are associated with Nike, and was invited through to view the space through the run club.
I didn’t know what to expect, but walked away impressed by their products but by their stealth marketing! It was an experiential approach to marketing. It had the quality of an art exhibit mixed with really hands on interaction with their new winter products. I was in a group of 10 people who went through the timed exhibit. I got caught a bit in the presentation and wanted to buy everything I saw, but cooler heads prevail and I left with a promise to carefully stalk Nike’s website for when the items go on sale. Some of them had really cool applications for travel, like the Nike Aeroloft and I like multipurpose things when on the road.
So here are some of the things that I thought were cool at the exhibit.
