So I’m back on my world wide tour, currently making my way through Western Europe. I’m of course training, or trying to train for a few upcoming races. The first one is the New York Half in March. Guess what? With all of this travel, 20k miles in two weeks so far, it has been difficult to train. Well to be fair, it has been difficult remembering which time zone I am in or what country. But I did manage to get a few runs in and I am determined to run, run, and run, no matter where I am.
For my next leg of my trip, I joined a few local running groups and searched high and low for global running sources. One thought was to try to run a few races, if I had the time in the city that I am visiting. But, it is winter in most places so there are very few races available. I did find a few running based tours, where you see a city by running through it vs walking. I’m hoping I get the time to try that.
I did find a great website by Air France and KLM called Flying Blue Running, it is for their frequent flyers who happen to be runners, or runners who happen to be frequent flyers. Here it is FlyingBlueRunning, I’ve enjoyed browsing through the site and found some great ideas and finally a community of people like me! I am not in their frequent flyer program, but it makes me like them a little more.
I wish I had this resource when I was in Paris a few weeks ago, but I did use it for my run in London. Which I will tell you more about later, with pictures. Until then, happy running wherever you are.
